Vast Oil Slick Threatens Florida Beaches

City Managers alerted to fact that the Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico may be picked up by the Gulf Stream and affect Eastern Florida beaches. In fact, if left uncontrolled, the Oil Spill may affect all beaches all the way up to New York. And of course, this problem happens at no worse a time than during the summer months of 2010.

Ultimate financial responsibility lies with the City Manager. Should City Managers pay for professional assistance, or should City Managers take care of the problem themselves.

Making an Oil Containment Boom isn't that difficult. City workers can easily contain the problem without costing the city a lot of money.
